Calgary Flames

It is a big package, but Andersson will cost a lot, given he says that he wants to stay in Calgary. I think Dach would be a great trade fit, cause Montreal's window is practically now, and they can't afford to give him time to get fully fit whilst he takes up cap room. But, I think trying him at RW would be a good experiment and could tap his potential, cause he would not have to skate as much as at center, reducing chance of reinjury to his knees, and he can try a more finisher-focused role. Mailloux has the higher celling, but I think Engstrom would be the better fit. He's on the left mainly, whereas Mailloux slots into our full right side. Mailloux is also more expensive. Between Beck and Kapanen, they're relatively even in my opinion. I think Beck gains a slight edge due to the higher floor and off the ice leadership and experience. There are very few memorial cup winners in the prospect pool, and he played with Parekh. Kapanen has the better celling in my opinion. His rapid development from a decent Finnish league player to a PPG player in the SHL shows that the NHL experience did have a decided effect on his play. Beck just seems like a better fit, as the Flames need some new leadership when the old guard leaves, whilst Montreal have their leadership group well established and young.
