According to my parents when I was very young and knew next to nothing about hockey I would make incredible playoff brackets by what was effectively guesswork. Unfortunately has yet to be repeated now that I have actual puck knowledge lmao Here's why I think it's going to be the Avs: - Gabe returning gives the Avs not only another NHL-calibre player on the ice (always nice to have in case of injury) but also an extra boost to morale. - Makar and Toews are crazy. They were Canada's top pair at 4N, playoffs are light work compared to USA's four 1st lines. - Unreal center depth, Nate Dogg + Nelson + Coyle is diabolical on its own and Necas can switch to 2C as well if necessary - Blackwood isn't Hellebuyck by any means but he's proven he can come up clutch. Athleticism is unreal. And if he can't take the heat, Wedgewood is a super respectable backup. - MacKinnon + Necas can skate circles around any team.
